As actors, we regularly engage the most intense, heightened human states as our job. We put ourselves into these states over and over again, on purpose, for an audience. What’s happening in our bodies when we do this? Nervous System Repair for the Actor is a four-week experience where we build awareness, resiliency, and learn techniques that help us thrive in this inspiring and sometimes difficult job.

I’m Davie-Blue, an actress (HBO, Netflix) and somatic therapeutic practitioner. We will journey through the nervous system as it relates to the craft of acting. I will support and guide you through a felt sense-awareness of your own biological state(s). We will uncover sensations and shifts in consciousness as our unique biology responds to the ever changing present moment.

Over the years, I’ve been inspired to find my work as a therapeutic somatic practitioner and my work as a professional actor and acting teacher is deeply aligned. Each practice influences and informs the other. With this course, I invite you to join me on the bridge between the two. Together, we will cultivate a deep awareness of our embodied selves, exploring the creative process for the actor and so much more.

The Private Sessions:

Somatic Summer School includes two, one hour private sessions. The sessions are designed to support a deepening between each group class. Sessions must take place before 12:00 pm PST / 9:00 pm CEST the week between classes.
